Buckle up.

We’ve heard of shoes made from recycled ocean plastic and even water bottles, but we’ve never come across sandals made from old seat belts.

Post Sole Studio has created a range of vegan shoes upcycled from seat belts the designers have found at markets.

The SS17 collection was inspired by traditional Volkswagen colours from the 1960s and uses the seat belts as a strap across two shoe variations.

You can shop a vegan belt heel or vegan belt ripple sandal, with prices starting at $369.
