Melbourne’s Fashion Design Council to be honoured in upcoming exhibit

Celebrating its provocative ideas.

If eccentric outfits and contemporary fashion are your thing, mark this one on your VAMFF planner.

As part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival, RMIT’s Design Hub will be transforming its space into a set that pays homage to the Fashion Design Council and its avant-garde ideas.

Launching on February 17, the month-long exhibit aims to fuse the Council’s provocative concepts with today’s contemporary fashion practices. And the program sounds heavenly.

Expect publications, presentations, performances and films on high-risk fashion, as well discussions on the FDC collection.

The event will also see architectural designs from Sibling, Studiobird and WOWOWA, who will recreate the Council’s old office, bar and shop.

From what we can gather from the exhibit outline, we’re in for a treat.
