Want to become a model for IMG? That is, want to be scouted by the worlds leading agency for models that include the likes of Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Georgia May Jagger? Of course you do.

Luckily your friend social media has made it that much easier to get your name heard and your images seen.

IMG is using the handle #WLYG to scout upcoming talent. The tag, which stands for ‘We Love Your Genes’ has already picked up four fresh-faced youths, and is looking for more potential talent.

Now, some handy advice for those of you reading this and planning your next #WLYG selfie, from IMG Vice President Joni Rose:

You need to be prepared for, and want, a long career in the business. IMG are looking for girls that they can support for 20 or so years. This is serious biz.
You need good grades. Looks aren’t everything, and IMG want educated ladies and men who can represent their brand.
Personality is super important, so don’t create a separate account for your portfolio. In Rose’s words “I want to see the pictures that they have no idea I want to see. I want to see them at their best friend’s sister’s wedding. I want to see them on the last day of school.”
