Beyoncé wore Alice McCall once and now people are going nuts for the label

The power of Bey compels you.

So Beyoncé posted this on Instagram a week ago. Like many posts before hers, it features her wearing an Alice McCall dress. But apparently since then, shit has hit the fan for the Australian label. In a good way, of course.

According to Elle, traffic on Alice McCall’s website has increased by 80 per cent since the image was posted, with girls worldwide trying to snag a piece of Queen B. Or the Senorita dress, at least.

Alice McCall, of her eponymous label, said on the day it was posted, the dress alone contributed to 25 per cent of that day’s sales.

So record-hitting sales for the brand and 1.5 million likes on a picture of the dress.

But what does this mean for us? Well another Australian designer gaining increased recognition on the global stage and the dress being sold out in pretty much every size. Thanks, Bey.

With the brand founded in 2004, the label is no newbie on the fashion scene. Alice McCall has been featured at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week.

There are currently over 160 boutiques across 10 countries spanning the United States, Europe and Japan.

According to the website, McCall designs have been spotted on international babes Katy Perry, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Iggy Azalea, Alexa Chung and Aussies Phoebe Tonkin, Isabelle Cornish, Mimi Elashiry, Sarah Ellen and Nicole Warne.

But apparently, Beyoncé’s got the power. No surprises there.
