Beauty report: Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil Stick

♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ 1/2

Name: Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil Stick
Price: $42
What it does: A balm, which turns into a liquid oil once applied, to remove all traces of makeup
Key ingredients: Sandalwood extract, sunflower seed oil and vitamin E
Available from: mecca.com.au

How it feels/smells/looks

It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen/used before. It comes in a similar form to a foundation stick and you can wind up more product as needed. The balm itself rubs on quite easily and doesn’t liquefy as much as I was expecting. It’s about the texture of a lip balm.

Why I like it

This one would be sooooo handy when travelling, as it comes in solid form. It also followed through on the promise to remove all traces of makeup, I tested this one over liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara and there wasn’t a panda eye in sight.

Areas for improvement

It’s a bit of a long process and if you’re a makeup wipe kinda gal, it may seem a little tedious. It’s probably more suited to using right before you jump in the shower. It’s not that ideal for those late nights (when you’ve had a bit to drink) and you’re looking for a quickie solution before bed.

Also, I felt a bit weird rubbing the stick all over my existing makeup. This might not be the most hygienic way to go about removing your makeup.

Final comments

An ideal alternative for anyone who regularly sports heavy/waterproof makeup.
