Get the look: Adelaide Fashion Festival’s Opening Runway hair and beauty

Adelaide Fashion Festival has just kicked off and while we know the main attraction is on the runway, we’re always partial to a little backstage action.
Lucky for you, the hair and beauty teams responsible for the Opening Runway looks were more than willing to show us how to do it.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to nailing these runway-ready looks, courtesy of Evo, Clip Joint Salons and Media Makeup.
Opening Night makeup
Media Makeup’s Opening Night look takes inspiration from the earthy tones of desert sands. Here’s how to nail it at home:
Step 1: Apply moisturiser to the face, then a light coverage of Make Up For Ever Waterblend Foundation.
Step 2: Bronze the skin slightly for an all-over healthy glow. The key here is slightly. This is not the time to get your Kim K contour on.
Step 3: In a square shape across the eyelid to the temple, apply Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow 730.
Step 4: Coat the lashes with mascara and finish by applying Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Cream Lipstick C104 to the lips.
Pro tip: This is a creative look. To tone it down, don’t take the eyeshadow as far out to the temples.
Opening Night hair
On the hair side of things, Clip Joint Salons and Evo teamed up to create a sleek and simple style. This one is super easy to achieve at home (bonus points) and is the perfect way to add a little extra style and texture to your day-to-day work ’do. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Prepare the hair with evo day of grace leave-in conditioner for nourishment and protection.
Step 2: Spray hair with evo mister fantastic blow-out spray to add fullness and texture. Then wrap dry the hair with an evo pete paddle brush.
Step 3: Part hair down the middle. Using a flat iron, straighten the hair on a low temperature to keep the natural fullness of the hair.
Step 4: Section the hair over the crown from ear to ear, leaving a centre part.
Step 5: Use a touch of evo builders paradise working hairspray medium-hold hairspray to smooth and seal the two front sections into a low ponytail and eliminate any flyaways.
Step 6: Release the rest of the hair down over the ponytail. Finish the look with evo love touch shine spray to protect from humidity and add shine.
