Book review: Rich People Problems

It’s impossible not to be sucked in.

The author that blessed us with Crazy Rich Asians has released a third gluttonous instalment.

Again dripping in excess, Rich People Problems follows the same interconnected families, the same claws at social status and the same absurd wealth.

But after three iterations, is the formula tired? Not even close.

Kwan displays such an acute knowledge of the world of which he writes, it’s impossible not to be sucked in. It’s like Gossip Girl on steroids and with disarming detail. Still, Kwan manages to keep the text somewhat relatable.

It seems, at their core, rich people problems might just be the same as ours.

Theirs are just shrouded in money.
