So in case you didn’t already know, clothing exchange via Facebook is seriously a thing. Yes, along with all the other perks of facey, buying, selling and swapping your clothes is all made possible… if you’re in the right group.
That may sound a little Mean Girls-exclusive, but some are slightly more selective than others, with rules regarding who they allow entry to and particular guidelines for selling your goods. Luckily we have you covered with a little more variety.

Clothes for sale (Melbourne Only)
This group has a wide range of the affordable variety, including jeans, heels, sneakers, jackets and jewellery. So it covers all bases. That said, the group has A LOT of different stuff available and is not style specific, so you may have to trawl through a bit to find the goods.
Featured brands: Calvin Klein, Converse, R.M Williams, Nike, Zara, Shakuhachi and Michael Kors.
Shop and Swap
This one features mostly sneakers, with a small amount of accessories and clothing. Giving the heads up about shoe releases, scammers or just sharing funny videos, Shop and Swap is a community. It’s definitely one for the guys, but considerably unisex depending on how you like it. It sports a large range of brands and a whole lot of Nike, from air max, hurache, flynit lunar, Roshe and Free.

Melbourne Fashion Exchange
Melbourne Fashion Exchange hosts a wide range of brands that are definitely more feminine than its counterparts. It’s home to more formal/dressy attire and is less brand specific, featuring lots of heels, dresses and skirts.
Featured brands: Maurie & Eve, Tony Bianco, Bardot, Kookai and Sportsgirl.
Clothes for sale Melbourne (mens)
This group is slightly more brand focused, with members especially loving local labels. There’s still a good range of international brands available for grabs and best of all, it’s still affordable. Check it out for shoes, jackets, sunglasses, pants, shirts and tees labelled with a name you recognise.

Girls Trade Melbourne
Alrighty. This one covers a lot more ground, with accessories, shoes and clothing for all tastes… and we mean all tastes.
Featured brands: Everything from Mimco and Kookai, adidas and Nike, NLP bikinis and One teaspoon jeans.
Doof Couture
No prizes for guessing who this group caters to. Doof Couture deals with everything doof-related, uncluding costumes, accessories, jewellery, decorations and even lighting and camping essentials. Check it out for colours, crochets, pom poms, gumboots and matching set outfits galore. There’s some seriously good stuff available, even for outside of the festival season.
Zimmerman Swap/sell/buy and Camilla Swap/sell/buy
If you’re looking for your beloved Australian brands (in particular, die hard Camilla girls and Zimmerman fans) this is definitely what you want. They’re a little more exxy, but you might just get lucky. There are also a few FREE giveaways if you pay attention.
PPENNYLANE SELLING
Known for its drama as much as its listings, PPENNYLANE (yep, double P) is dedicated to showcasing independent Australian designers, as well as independent international brands and some vintage too. It’s a little more tricky to get approval to enter this group and it has a strict no-fur-animal-friendly policy. This is not a place to get rid of your old, unwanted wardrobe. This place has the goods and expects only that from its members.
Featured brands: Acne, Dress up, Alpha 60, P.A.M, Georgia Alice, Vintage Moschino and Margiela.
HIGH END
High End is exactly as it’s name states. Shhh, it’s very exclusive/invite only/secret society. Good luck scoring a gig.
