VAMFF closes with Romance Was Born AW15 Bush Magic

VAMFF comes to a close with Romance and Bush Magic.

Inspired by Australia’s native bushland and the wonders of childhood nostalgia, Romance Was Born presented their 2015 Autumn/Winter collection Bush Magic at NGV last night, as VAMFF comes to a close.

Ballet dancers lined the stage as the Australiana-inspired collection came to life, and as expected, design duo Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales did not cease to amaze.

With hints of May Gibbs’ iconic Gumdrop babies and an array of our national flora and fauna donned by each model, underlying themes of culture and creativity were most certainly present throughout.

Featuring black neoprene and delicate crepe, blushing pinks and emerald greens, the runway showcased a staggering display of fabrics and colour. Looks ranged from collared shirts and bomber jackets, to intricate sequin embellishments and blossom patterns on classic silks.

It was a wide breadth of style and dress code in true Australian charm.
