In case you didn’t know, will.i.am is a bit of an eyewear junkie. He’s been obsessed with glasses since he was 13, and has been curating a personal collection of rare vintage and experimental frames from around the world ever since.
This partnership with designer and old friend George Gorrow therefore makes a lot of sense. Titled ill.i.am, the eyewear brand is a nod to historical frames, ‘80s hip-hop icons like Run-D.M.C. and Afrika Bambaataa, and futuristic designs.
It’s a seriously cool collection. Featuring nine sunglasses and nine optical styles, the collection is fresh, bold and experimental, with all frames handmade in Italy.
