Alannah Hill’s Spring 2014 collection, French Kisses, heralds a new creative direction for the Australian label. With the departure of its founder in October last year, the brand has undergone a transformation under fashion industry veteran, Dimitria Papafotiou and a new design team.
French Kisses is a little bit sexier than Alannah Hill’s previous collections. Experimenting with trendier styles like sheer lace tops and cropped cuts, the campaign signals a modern Alannah Hill, with pared down styling and demure details that still carry the Alannah Hill aesthetic.
Inspired by romance, the Parisian lifestyle, and the spring racing season, key colours include navy, soft pink and black, worn with florals, stripes and polka dots. The range also features delicate laces, intricate beading and feminine silhouettes akin to the ‘50s and ‘60s.
The collection will be available in Alannah Hill boutiques, David Jones and online from mid-August. We’re anticipating French Kisses to be a popular one.
